On July 7, 2026, the Second meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council took place in Dushanbe. The Turkmen delegation was headed by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan M. Gurdov, and the Tajik delegation - by the Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan R. Farkhodshokh. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan. 

The event was attended by representatives of relevant government agencies, business circles and entrepreneurial associations of both countries.

During the meeting heads of delegations emphasized the importance of intensifying direct contacts between business communities to fully unlock the existing economic potential. It was noted that thanks to the far-sighted policies of the leaders of the two states, turkmen-tajik cooperation is consistently developing and expanding across a wide range of areas.

The Turkmen side expressed its readiness to further expand partnership with tajik colleagues, noting the interest of industrial enterprises, representatives of the chemical industry, transport and logistics companies, and the private sector of Turkmenistan in implementing joint projects. Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan R. Farkhodshokh, in turn, confirmed the interest of tajik business circles in further developing cooperation and strengthening partnership ties.

Special attention during the meeting was paid to issues of expanding mutual trade, industrial cooperation, transport and logistics interaction, cooperation in the agro-industrial complex, the chemical industry and the tourism sector.

Within the framework of the meeting, presentations were made on the investment potential, opportunities of free economic zones and the development of transport infrastructure of the two countries. The practical part of the event continued with B2B negotiations, during which representatives of business circles discussed promising joint projects and new areas of partnership.

On July 8, an introductory visit to major industrial enterprises of Dushanbe was organized for the members of the Turkmen delegation, during which they familiarized themselves with their production capacities.

The Second meeting of the Turkmen-Tajik Business Council confirmed the mutual interest in further strengthening mutually beneficial partnership, expanding direct contacts between business circles and implementing joint initiatives.
