Sona Avisheva, a lecturer of the Department of Ecology at the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University, won first place in the international competition “Best Young Scientist of the Commonwealth of Independent States”, held in Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan.

The young scientist was awarded the title of winner and received the honors of the prestigious competition for her productive research and innovation activities, as well as for the successful results of her work, which were highly praised by the international scientific community.

The international competition, organized by the National Innovation Research Center “Bilim-orkenieti”, was conducted with the aim of identifying talented teachers and young scientists among participants from the countries of the Commonwealth.

The lecturer from the Turkmen university has repeatedly demonstrated outstanding achievements at various scientific forums. In 2023, she became the winner of the international competition “High Technologies and Innovative Developments”, organized by the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, the Ministry of Education of the country, and the Central Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan. Earlier, Sona Avisheva had also won prize places in such scientific competitions as “The Role of Youth in Achieving the Sustainable Development Goals” and “Fertilizer — the Key to a Rich Harvest.”

At present, the young scientist is conducting research on the effect of a liquid organomineral fertilizer obtained from waste products on the yield of vegetable crops. Many of her articles devoted to scientific research in this field and published in various languages of the world have received high recognition from international experts and representatives of the scientific community.
