As part of his state visit to Georgia, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held talks with Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Kobakhidze. During the meeting, the sides discussed the current state and prospects of bilateral cooperation, with the transport and logistics and energy sectors identified as key areas.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized the comprehensive nature of modern Turkmen-Georgian relations. The head of state confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to assist its Georgian partners in accessing promising markets in Central and South Asia, as well as the Asia-Pacific region.

As one of the most significant and priority projects, the sides highlighted the international transport corridor “Lapis Lazuli,” connecting Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Türkiye.

In addition, during the talks, Turkmenistan expressed its interest in expanding cooperation in the energy sector. The Turkmen side confirmed its readiness for a detailed discussion of specific prospects and projects in this area.
