Improving the national legislative framework and modernising the financial and economic sector were the topics of the latest Cabinet of Ministers meeting, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held digitally. Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H. Geldimyradov reported on the measures being implemented in the field of state insurance.

As noted, the country is systematically working to develop the insurance market and bring regulatory legal acts into line with modern requirements.

In particular, based on the Law of Turkmenistan «On Amendments and Additions to Certain Legislative Acts of Turkmenistan», adopted in November 2025, a draft Regulation on State Insurance has been prepared.The document was developed by the State Insurance Organisation jointly with the relevant ministries and industry departments of the country. The new Regulation is intended to regulate and optimise the sphere of compulsory state insurance.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the importance of developing an effective and reliable insurance system for sustainable economic growth. The head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take the necessary measures to further optimise and legally regulate the compulsory state insurance system.
