Schoolchildren from Turkmenistan represented their country with distinction, delivering an outstanding performance at the 58th International Chemistry Olympiad, held from 10 to 19 July in the city of Tashkent, Republic of Uzbekistan.

This year, 363 talented schoolchildren from 92 countries around the world took part in the major international competition.

Turkmenistan was represented at the Olympiad by a team from the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashi Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat. Following the intellectual competition, representatives of our country rightfully became the winners of four medals — 1 silver and 3 bronze.

Palvan Ilmammedov, an 11th-grade student, won a silver medal. Diyar Dovletov, Aylar Orunova and Rustem Jumayev, 12th-grade students, received bronze medals.

During the prestigious international competition, the Turkmen schoolchildren confidently demonstrated extensive theoretical knowledge in the field of chemistry and excellent skills in conducting practical laboratory work.

The victory of the Turkmen schoolchildren became a notable contribution to the numerous achievements of our youth in international competitions. This success once again demonstrated the high quality of national education, the broad intellectual potential of the country’s talented younger generation, and its constant aspiration and readiness to conquer new heights and enhance the authority of our Motherland on the world stage.
