Ashgabat will host a joint training camp for athletes from the Abu Dhabi cycling club (UAE) and the Turkmenistan national cycling team. Preparations for the international sporting event were discussed at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on Friday.
As deputy-prime B. Mammedov reported, all necessary organisational measures are currently being taken to conduct the training camp at a high level. In addition to joint training, the program includes specialised seminars aimed at exchanging experiences, improving the professional skills of athletes and coaches, and strengthening international cooperation in the field of cycling.
In this regard, the deputy-prime submitted a corresponding proposal for the organisation of joint training camps to the President of Turkmenistan for consideration.
After hearing the report, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the that work is underway in our country to develop sports and identify talented athletes.
The head of state approved a proposal to hold joint training camps in Ashgabat involving athletes from the Abu Dhabi cycling club and the Turkmenistan national cycling team, instructing the deputy-prime to ensure a high level of organisation for the upcoming event.
Holding joint training camps will be an important step in developing international sports cooperation, allowing Turkmen cyclists to learn from their international colleagues, and further enhancing preparation of the national team for international competitions.
