A new textbook entitled “Statistics in Land Management” has been published in Turkmenistan for students of specialized higher educational institutions across the country.

The authors of the textbook are lecturers of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University – Maral Nazarova, Maya Myradova and Shokhrat Vekilov.

The new publication has been recommended by the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, prepared for publication with the support of the “Ylym” Scientific Publishing House of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan, and printed at the printing house of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

The textbook consists of an introduction and 10 thematic chapters, including “The Subject and Principles of Statistical Science,” “Land and Statistics of Its Use,” “Statistics of Sown Areas,” “Statistics of Crop Yields and Fertility,” “Livestock Statistics,” “Statistics of Sales and Consumption of Agricultural Products,” and others.

The authors provide a comprehensive explanation of the academic discipline. Using agricultural data, the textbook examines in detail the issues of economic and statistical analysis of processes taking place in land management. The presented materials describe the general principles, methods and theoretical foundations of statistical science.

The textbook has been prepared in accordance with the curricula of Turkmenistan’s agricultural higher educational institutions, while also taking into account modern requirements for the statistical system.

The new publication will serve as a valuable guide for students specializing in agricultural fields, lecturers of agricultural universities, as well as professionals working in the country’s agro-industrial complex.

Earlier, we reported that the lecturers of the S.A. Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University had become the authors of three new textbooks for the country’s agricultural higher educational institutions.
