In preparation for the Year of international law in 2028, Turkmenistan plans to establish a special Interdepartmental Working Commission and approve a National action plan for 2026–2028.
Deputy prime and minister of foreign affairs R. Meredov reported this at a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, informing about the practical implementation of the new UN Resolution, unanimously adopted on July 24 of this year.
Thus, a National action plan for 2026–2028 will be developed. The document will cover a wide range of political, diplomatic, scientific, practical, educational, cultural, and informational activities both within Turkmenistan and in the international arena. The plan will detail specific deadlines for the events, the structures responsible for organising them, and the expected results.
At the same time, an Interdepartmental working commission will be created. It will include representatives of key ministries, industry departments, higher education institutions, and research centres across the country to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the planned activities.
A comprehensive approach will enable the Year of international law, declared by the UN at the initiative of Turkmenistan, to be held at a high organisational level.
