On the 24th of July this year, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution proposed by Turkmenistan. The document proclaims the year 2028 as the Year of International Law.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, minister of foreign affairs R. Meredov reported on the new foreign policy success of the country at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, which President Serdar Berdimuhamedov conducted using a digital system to summarise the work over the past seven months of the year.
The resolution «The Year of international law, 2028» is aimed at strengthening legality, justice and the role of legal norms in international relations. The unanimous support for the initiative underlines high authority of Turkmenistan on the world stage and the relevance of proposals of the President.
On behalf of the members of the Government, the Head of the Ministry of foreign affairs congratulated President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on this significant event.
