Turkmen specialists were sent to an international research internship, organised from the 25th of July to the 16th of August at the Clausthal University of Technology in Germany.
The Turkmen delegation includes representatives of the Ministry of energy of Turkmenistan, the State energy institute of Turkmenistan, the International university of oil and gas named after Yagshygeldi Kakayev, and the Natural gas research institute of the State concern «Türkmengaz».
The internship is carried out within the framework of the European Union and the German society for international cooperation (GIZ) project «EU for Green development of Turkmenistan: Political dialogue and climate action for 2024-2029».
Training for Turkmen specialists is aimed at exploring cutting-edge scientific and technical developments, mastering innovative digital approaches, and developing international cooperation.
As part of the program, participants explore modern technologies for increasing the efficiency of renewable energy sources, reducing methane emissions, and applying artificial intelligence in industry. Together with German scientists, Turkmen specialists are participating in practical training sessions on the implementation of artificial intelligence, machine learning, neural networks, and data normalisation methods.
In the laboratories of the German university of technology, internship participants conduct research in the fields of well integrity monitoring, directional well drilling, and photovoltaic system performance forecasting using artificial intelligence algorithms.
During the final stage of the internship, the Turkmen group will visit a German sulfur gas processing plant, as well as local power plants operating on renewable energy sources.
