The daikhans of the Lebap velayat have accumulated extensive experience in cultivating high cotton yields—one of the country's main national treasures. This year, held under the motto "Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses," they have once again achieved excellent results through their dedicated work.
At present, topping of the cotton plants has been completed in all etraps of the region, and organized preparations are underway for the upcoming harvesting campaign. This season, the velayat’s farmers intend to harvest a rich cotton crop from 130,000 hectares.
Preparations for the harvesting season in the velayat’s etraps are entering their final stage. Active work is being carried out at 38 cotton receiving stations and 11 cotton ginning enterprises. All receiving stations and cotton ginning facilities are equipped with electronic scales, which have been inspected by the relevant specialists and are fully ready for the uninterrupted reception of the new harvest.
The Garabekevul Cotton Ginning Enterprise—the largest in the velayat—has also made especially thorough preparations for this important campaign. The enterprise was commissioned with the blessing of Hero-Arkadag and is designed to process 40,000 tons of cotton annually. All equipment used for receiving raw cotton has been brought to full operational readiness.
At the same time, the "Lebapobahyzmat" Production Association, together with the etrap "Obahyzmat" enterprises, has carried out technical inspections of high-performance cotton harvesters, bringing them to full readiness. Equipment intended for transporting the harvested cotton to receiving stations and cotton ginning enterprises—including trucks, tractors, and trailers—has also undergone inspection.
During the harvesting campaign, compliance with technical and fire safety regulations is of great importance, and the necessary preventive measures are being implemented on the ground. The organizational work being carried out in the velayat ahead of this important campaign strengthens confidence that the cotton growers of the country's eastern region will harvest the rich cotton crop in a timely manner and without losses, achieving their planned targets.
