The third round has started in the Turkmenistan football championship among Major League clubs. The matches of the 15th round gave the fans productive meetings, confident victories of the favourites and dramatic endings at the end of the matches.
The main event of the tour was the major victory of the reigning national champion «Arkadag», who defeated «Merv» 7-0 at the «Nisa» stadium in the capital.
The championship leader seized the initiative from the first minutes, but the hosts managed to open the scoring only in the 35th minute - Shamammet Hydyrov scored. Five minutes later, Didar Durdyyev doubled advantage of «Arkadag».
After the break, the national champion staged a real scoring extravaganza. In the 62nd and 66th minutes, Meylis Diniyev scored a double, bringing the score to 4-0.
«Arkadag» scored three more times in the final quarter of the match. First, Bayram Atayev scored in the 77th minute, then Arzuvguly Sapargulyyev scored in the 82nd, and five minutes later Ihlas Toyjanov set the final score.
Thus, «Arkadag» not only took the next three points, but also demonstrated impressive performance in the first match of the third round.
The second representative of the leadership group, «Ahal», also started the third round with a confident victory. At the «Nisa» stadium, team of Eziz Annamuhammedov beat «Kopetdag» in the capital with a score of 3:0.
The main hero of the match was Suleyman Mirzoyev, who already hit the opponent's goal twice in the opening segment of the match. He scored his first goal in the 11th minute, and scored a double just five minutes later.
The final result was set at the end of the meeting. In the 82nd minute, Yakupmuhammet Govshudov scored third goal of «Ahal» and finally cleared up questions about the winner.
In this way, the team of the «Turkmennebitonumleri» Headquarters started the third round with the highest result and continues to fight for high positions in the standings.
The confrontation of the capital between «Altyn Asyr» and «Ashgabat» turned out to be no less tense. The meeting on the «Sport Toplumy» field in the Buzmeyin etrap of the capital ended with the victory of «Altyn Asyr» – 2:1.
The account was opened by the guests. In the 15th minute, Agageldi Tachmammedov put «Ashgabat» ahead.
After the break, «Altyn Asyr» managed to win back. In the 53rd minute, Rovshen Halmammedov regained his balance.
When it seemed that the teams would share the points, the hosts struck the decisive blow. In the 90th minute, Zafar Babajanov scored the second goal of «Altyn Asyr», which brought the team the most important victory.
The Balkan derby in Turkmenbashy ended with the only draw in the 15th round, where the local «Shagadam» hosted «Nebitchi».
The hosts took the lead immediately after the break. Serdar Gulyyev scored the goal in the 46th minute.
«Nebitchi» did not stop trying to save the match and was rewarded for perseverance in stoppage time. In the 90+3rd minute, Serdar Tugiyev equalised the score – 1:1.
However, almost immediately after the goal, «Nebichi» remained in the minority: Muhammet Annayev was removed from the field.
Thus, after the 15th round, «Arkadag» continues to lead confidently in the championship of Turkmenistan. The team won 15 in a row and scored a maximum of 45 points, maintaining a solid lead over its closest pursuers.
«Ahal» is in the second position with 33 points. The gap from the leader is already 12 points.
«Altyn Asyr» closes the top three with 32 points, lagging behind «Ahal» by only one point. Thus, the fight for the second place is still quite tight.
«Merv» and «Nebitchi» are in fourth and fifth positions, both teams have 14 points. They are only one point ahead of the following «Shagadam»: the Turkmenbashy club has 13 points.
The leadership in the goalscoring contest after 15 rounds was consolidated by the best sniper of the last four national championships, Didar Durdyyev from «Arkadag». He has scored 13 goals (3 from the penalty spot). Suleyman Mirzoyev from «Ahal» is in second position, with 8 goals (2 from penalties).
The third round has just begun, but its first results showed that the fight in the top league of Turkmenistan is entering a crucial stage, and new crucial matches and important outcomes await the fans ahead.
