The Asian youth short track speed skating training camp, organised by the Olympic council of Asia jointly with the International skating union (ISU), was held in Harbin, China. The training camp brought together young athletes and coaches from various countries in the Asian region.

Young athletes from Turkmenistan, Danatar Muhamov and Meryem Hudaygulyyeva, participated in the training sessions under the mentorship of the head coach of the Turkmenistan national short track team, Ayhanum Gulamalyyeva.

Turkmen athletes underwent intensive training under the guidance of ISU specialists, aimed at improving their technical skills and preparing for future international competitions. Master classes and training sessions were conducted by renowned athletes, champions and prize winners of international competitions.

The training camp, which took place from the 19th to 27th of July, was organised as part of a program to develop winter sports in Asia and support young athletes. The main goal of the project is to prepare promising athletes for major international competitions, including Children of Asia 2027 and the 2029 winter Asian games in Almaty.

At the beginning of August, a figure skating camp in Harbin also concluded, in which a group of young figure skaters from Turkmenistan took part.

The successful participation of representatives of our country in international training camps is clear evidence that, thanks to comprehensive attention and care of the government, winter sports in Turkmenistan are developing rapidly and progressively. The conditions and support created open up broad opportunities for young athletes to achieve new heights in the sporting arena.
