An official reception was held in the Turkmen capital on the occasion of the completion of the diplomatic mission of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Turkmenistan, Ahmet Demirok.
The ceremonial event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in the country, as well as numerous partners and friends of the Turkish diplomatic mission.
Addressing those present, the diplomat expressed his deep gratitude to the Turkmen side for its warm hospitality and comprehensive assistance throughout his entire period of work in the country. The Ambassador emphasized the special spiritual and cultural closeness between the two states.
“Every diplomatic assignment leaves its mark, but Turkmenistan was special for me. Because Turkmenistan is our homeland. Despite the geographical distance between our capitals, I have always felt that Türkiye and Turkmenistan are brothers in spirit in many ways. Our common history, language, traditions and values create a bond that goes far beyond diplomacy,” noted Ahmet Demirok.
The head of the Turkish diplomatic mission also drew attention to the dynamic development of bilateral dialogue in recent years, which has encompassed key areas of cooperation. These include economic cooperation and the implementation of joint projects, cultural and humanitarian exchange and the strengthening of ties in the field of education, people-to-people diplomacy and the expansion of personal contacts between citizens of the two countries.
As the diplomat emphasized, his work in Ashgabat “exceeded all expectations,” while the opportunity to make a personal contribution to strengthening fraternal ties was a great honor for him.
Concluding his speech, Ahmet Demirok expressed his gratitude to the leadership of Turkmenistan.
“Taking this opportunity, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, His Excellency Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, for their firm and unconditional support for strengthening bilateral relations between Türkiye and Turkmenistan,” said Ahmet Demirok.
