In the year marked by glorious events and celebrations and held under the motto, “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan—the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,” targeted work is being carried out within the structural divisions of the Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan. Clear evidence of this is the success of the therapeutic mud and sea salt packaging enterprise located in the settlement of Jebel in the city of Balkanabat, the Balkan velayat.
The enterprise’s cohesive workforce is working tirelessly to increase production volumes. It has the capacity to produce 400,000 packages of therapeutic and cosmetic products annually, including 200,000 packages of Mollagara mud, as well as 100,000 packages each of volcanic mud and sea salt. The enterprise consists of three main departments—the therapeutic mud packaging department, the sea salt packaging department, and the quality-control department. All processes are automated and managed through a network of interconnected computers. In addition, the production facility is equipped with advanced high-tech machinery from Italy, Türkiye, Japan, Belgium, and France.
Experience confirms that our sunlit Homeland is rich in natural resources suitable for treatment and health improvement. Therapeutic mud and sea salt hold a particularly important place among them in wellness practices. Mud is generally divided into two categories: silt mud and volcanic mud. Lake Mollagara, renowned for its silt mud, is widely known not only in our country but throughout the world. In recent years, the cosmetic properties of Mollagara mud have been studied in detail, and its beneficial effects on the skin have been confirmed: it stimulates cell regeneration, improves skin tone, normalizes subcutaneous blood circulation, makes the skin softer, and refreshes it.
The mud from the unique mud volcanoes located in the Esenguly etrap of the Balkan velayat also has significant therapeutic properties. It contains numerous valuable trace elements, which is why it is actively used in cosmetology and in medicine—for the treatment of skin, cardiovascular, and intestinal diseases, as well as infertility.
In the enterprise’s therapeutic mud department, raw materials received from natural sources are purified of stones, sand particles, and other impurities using a specialized sieve. The mud is then mixed with purified water by means of special pumps until it reaches the required consistency and is sent to the filling line. The production capacity of this section is 600 finished packages per hour.
In the sea salt packaging department, the technological process begins with grinding the raw material to the specified size. Stones, metal particles, and other impurities are then removed using sieves and magnets. Part of the purified salt is compressed under high pressure and formed into tablets. The product is also enriched with medicinal herbs. The department’s production capacity is 3.6 kilograms of finished products per hour.
“During the period that has passed in the year ‘Independent Neutral Turkmenistan—the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses,’ marked by the 35th anniversary of the sacred independence of our Homeland, the enterprise has supplied consumers with hundreds of packages of therapeutic mud and sea salt,” said Dovletmyrat Orazmyradov, the head of the enterprise, in an interview. “Products bearing the ‘Made in Turkmenistan’ label are regularly delivered to sanatoriums, healthcare institutions, treatment and rehabilitation centers, hospitals, health centers, and pharmacies throughout the country.
We will make every effort to further increase production volumes and expand the range of therapeutic products we manufacture. We express our sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, for creating the conditions for productive work and the manufacture of high-quality products. From the bottom of our hearts, we wish them good health, long life, and further success in their work for the benefit of our native country and all humanity.”
