On August 25, a telephone conversation took place between the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev.

During the conversation, the sides discussed the results of the parliamentary elections held in the friendly country. The President of Kazakhstan expressed his gratitude for the congratulations on the successful conduct of the elections to the Kurultai of the Republic of Kazakhstan and emphasized the great importance of the personal attention paid by Hero-Arkadag to this historic event.

In this regard, the effective and objective work of the Turkmen observers was highlighted. They confirmed that the elections had been conducted in accordance with national legislation and international standards.

At the same time, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev expressed confidence that close ties between the legislative bodies of the two countries would continue to strengthen for the benefit of the further development of Kazakh-Turkmen relations.
