From August 10 to 15, 2026, the V International Environmental Congress entitled “Youth – Сreators of the Future” was held in Shahrisabz, one of the ancient and historic cities of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The international event brought together representatives, scientists, young people, ecologists and members of the public from various countries to discuss important issues of our time, such as protecting the environment, making rational use of natural resources, preventing climate change and providing the younger generation with environmental education.

The particularly high international status of the congress deserves special mention. Representatives from all Central Asian states, as well as from the Russian Federation, the Republic of Belarus, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and other countries, took part in the event. In total, nearly 1,000 people participated in the congress, making a significant contribution to the development of international cooperation in the field of ecology.

An important international event was also attended by Ogulurdy Bayramova, a teacher and researcher at the Department of Ecology and Ecological Technologies of the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan. The “Best International Ecological Project” competition held as part of the congress attracted particular interest. The competition provided representatives from different countries with an opportunity to present their innovative environmental projects and exchange experience. In this competition, Ogulurdy Bayramova won first place in the “Best International Ecological Project” category.
