On September 1, the first school bell rang at all secondary and higher educational institutions across the country, including those in the Mary velayat, heralding the beginning of the new 2026–2027 academic year. Ceremonial assemblies held to mark the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth took place in an inspiring and festive atmosphere. Particular attention was given to the congratulatory Address by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which he wished the younger generation success in their studies.

The first lessons at schools across the country were held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.” The presentation of domestically produced “Bilimli” laptops to all first-graders on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag served as a vivid testament to the boundless care extended to children—the future of our Motherland.

Ceremonial events dedicated to the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth were also held at Mary Specialized School No. 24 for Gifted Children. Early in the morning, music and songs filled the festively decorated square, which was alive with the cheerful laughter of children. Representatives of local institutions and enterprises, members of the older generation, public organizations, and education workers joined the students in celebrating the beginning of the new academic year. Artists and creative groups from the Palaces of Children and Youth presented vibrant musical performances. The compositions were dedicated to the large-scale achievements being accomplished under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan and through the tireless efforts of Hero-Arkadag, the 35th anniversary of the country's independence, and the country's current prosperous era.

The State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan also held a ceremony marking the Day of Knowledge and Student Youth, as well as the beginning of the new 2026–2027 academic year. The festive atmosphere was enhanced by songs celebrating the beloved Motherland and sacred independence, as well as performances by “Kuwwat,” the university's song-and-dance ensemble, and renowned artists. The program featured performances expressing pride in the large-scale reforms successfully implemented in the education system under the leadership of the President of Turkmenistan. One of the most moving moments of the celebration was the presentation of student ID cards to first-year students. The students' first academic lesson was held under the motto “Independent Neutral Turkmenistan – the Homeland of Purposeful Winged Horses.”

The celebrations organized at educational institutions throughout the country to mark the beginning of the new academic year inspired members of the younger generation to strive for future achievements.
