A new modern building complex of the Turkmen state institute of architecture and construction was commissioned in Ashgabat. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the opening ceremony of the institute on the 1st of September.
The head of state noted the key role of the institute in training highly qualified specialists for the construction and industrial sectors of economy of the country. The construction of the new complex, designed for 5 thousand people, was carried out by a member of the Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan in full compliance with modern requirements.
The structure of the new educational complex included educational facilities, a dormitory, and a residential building.
The institution of higher professional education includes a 13-storey main building, 8 faculties, 28 departments, a modern library and a conference hall. All classrooms and laboratories are equipped with advanced equipment.
The well-appointed dormitory located on campus has a capacity of 2600 beds, and a separate residential complex consisting of two buildings (80 apartments in total) is intended for the faculty of the university.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the new conditions will enable the renovated educational institution to become a leading training ground for highly qualified architects, engineers, builders, and industrial specialists.
