A new issue of the journal “Democracy and Law” published by the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan in the Turkmen, English and Russian languages appeared in print.
Among the readers of the journal are the legal experts, the officials of state public authorities and administration and law enforcement agencies, the representatives of local authorities and public organizations. Among the publications are the informational and analytical materials, revealing the main point and the character of the ongoing ambitious reforms and democratic changes in the country.
The issue starts with the address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov during an enlarged meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan on January 26, 2018 that focused on the results of the socio-economic development of the Turkmen state in 2017 and the priority tasks in all spheres of life of the state and society in 2018.
The first decade of the current year has been marked with the important event in the social and political life of the country – a meeting of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan of the new convocation and the participation of the President of Turkmenistan in this meeting. In this regard, the journal presents the programme address of the President of Turkmenistan that emphasized the priority areas of the law-making activity of Turkmen parliamentarians for the near future.
