On September 2, 2026, an event dedicated to the next meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, which will take place on September 23, 2026, in Ashgabat, was held at the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Kazakhstan (Aktau). The event also highlighted the international significance of the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to declare "2028 - International Year of International Law." Students studying in Aktau, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora living in the Mangystau region and Consulate staff participated in this celebratory event.
Participants were provided with detailed information about the work of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, its role in the socio-political life of the country, and the importance of the Halk Maslahaty in determining the future development of our neutral Fatherland. It was also noted that during the meetings of the Halk Maslahaty, achievements are summarized, milestones gained are analyzed, and long-term objectives are identified.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the initiative of the President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, to declare "2028 the International Year of International Law," which was adopted by the United Nations General Assembly with the co-sponsorship of 78 countries.
At the conclusion of the event, an exhibition of paintings was organized showcasing Turkmenistan's achievements since independence.
