At the «Ruhyýet» Palace in the city of Arkadag, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, conducted a public lesson. In his address to the younger generation, Hero-Arkadag highlighted in detail the country’s key role in the development of the global transport and logistics system.
The Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty noted that, owing to its advantageous geographical location at the crossroads of Eurasian routes, Turkmenistan is actively contributing to closer economic ties between Asia and Europe. The concept of the “Revival of the Great Silk Road” lies at the heart of this policy, envisaging the creation of modern transport and transit corridors and the development of national infrastructure.
Hero-Arkadag also emphasized that Turkmenistan is actively strengthening its position as a leading centre of international transport diplomacy. The United Nations General Assembly has already adopted six thematic resolutions at Turkmenistan’s initiative, including the decision to proclaim the United Nations Decade of Sustainable Transport for 2026–2035.
