National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov spoke at the world equestrian championships and ahal-teke beauty contest in the city of Kroonenberg (Netherlands). In his speech, he presented a comprehensive program for development of the breed, highlighting the inclusion of ahal-teke horses in the Olympic games as a key goal.

To achieve Olympic standards, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty proposed developing specialised training programs for young racehorses in accordance with international show jumping and inspection requirements, as well as establishing prestigious international prizes. Key initiatives of Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov include the creation of a unified ahal-teke gene bank, the establishment of an International foundation for the breed, and investments in veterinary science through research grants.

In addition, the National Leader called for the development of «green diplomacy» and ecotourism by launching horse-riding routes along the historic route of the Great Silk road. To strengthen global cooperation, it was proposed to systematise the exchange of historical materials, coordinate the educational work of international associations, and launch information projects about the phenomenon of «winged» horses in the media and digital media.
