Cotton growers in the Dashoguz velayat have maintained a high intensity of work since the very beginning of the harvest season. All necessary organisational measures have been taken to ensure the successful completion of this important season. In preparation for the harvest, all cotton receiving stations and cotton gins in the region were brought into uninterrupted operation. A sufficient amount of equipment is used in the harvest to transport the collected raw materials.

The current harvest is based on time-tested, medium-fibre cotton varieties that are best suited to local soil and climate conditions and, according to experts, have shown excellent results. At the same time, several new varieties, including those developed by local breeders, are undergoing yield testing this year.

During the harvesting campaign in the Dashoguz velayat, they intend to effectively use all available specialised equipment. It is expected that over two hundred modern, high-performance combine harvesters, including «John Deere» brand harvesters, will take part in the harvest, which are distinguished by their ease of operation, reliability, and efficiency.

The largest producers of valuable raw materials in the region are the Saparmyrat Turkmenbashy etrap, where the crop is located on more than thirty thousand hectares, the Shavat etrap, as well as the Akdepe and Koneurgench etraps.
