On 9 September 2026, a concert dedicated to the Independence Days of the Central Asian states and Azerbaijan was held at the Lok Virsa Heritage Museum in Islamabad, Pakistan. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.  

The event was organized by the Eurasian Peoples’ Friendship Forum jointly with the Embassies of the Central Asian countries, with the support of the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage of Pakistan.

The event was attended by the heads of diplomatic missions of the Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation, representatives of the management of the Lok Virsa Museum, representatives of Pakistani state and cultural institutions, as well as representatives of public and expert circles.

During the event, the heads of diplomatic missions of the Central Asian countries, Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation congratulated those present on their respective national holidays. In their remarks, they emphasized the important role of cultural diplomacy and humanitarian cooperation in strengthening friendship, mutual respect and understanding among peoples.

A special place in the programme was given to performances by Pakistani artists in national costumes, who presented traditional dances and musical compositions of the peoples of Central Asia and Azerbaijan. Among the cultural performances was the traditional Turkmen dance “Kushtdepdi”, reflecting the richness and distinctive character of Turkmenistan’s national cultural heritage.

The holding of this cultural event served as a vivid demonstration of the diversity of Eurasia’s cultural heritage and contributed to the further development of humanitarian ties, as well as to strengthening friendship and mutual understanding among the peoples of Turkmenistan, Pakistan and other countries of the region.
