The Ministry of education of Turkmenistan annually compiles university rankings, which allow institutions to be ranked according to specific criteria in a wide variety of scientific fields. These rankings can be based on various parametres, such as the level of academic achievement of students, the quality of teaching, or the number of graduates who achieve high marks in national examinations.

This year, the Ministry of education compiled rankings based on the quality and quantity of publications in the international journals Web of Science and Scopus. Materials published in these authoritative sources are considered to be works of the highest category. The scientific articles posted here not only contribute to the dissemination of valuable scientific research, but also help scientists around the world in their promising developments.

The significant progress of domestic scientists in this area and the results of scientific research in these publications are also evidenced by the fact that the number of publications by Turkmen researchers has increased significantly. If in 2020 the number of published scientific papers was 160, then five years later this same figure has already reached several thousand. It should be noted that the leader in both the number and significance of published scientific articles is the Turkmen state university named after Magtymguly, in second place is the Turkmen state institute of architecture and construction.

Recently, taking into account the above, as well as the rating points accumulated, specialists from the Ministry of education of Turkmenistan identified the winners of the past academic year, who were awarded valuable gifts and «Teacher of the year 2025-2026» diplomas in a ceremonial setting.
