As part of his state visit to the Republic of Korea, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov took part in the work of the Turkmen-Korean high-level business forum.

Addressing the forum participants, the Head of state noted the successful implementation of joint investment projects with the participation of large «Korean companies, including» «Daewoo Engineering & Construction Co., Ltd.», «Koryo Shipbuilding Industry Technology Co., Ltd.» and «Korea Meditech co., Ltd». It was also emphasised that active negotiations are currently underway on a number of new promising initiatives, which are scheduled to be launched in the near future.

The Head of Turkmenistan said that to date, 17 investment projects totaling over 12 billion USA dollars have been registered in the country with the participation of Korean businesses.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised that the large-scale performance of the meeting is a clear indication of the high confidence of the Korean business community in Turkmenistan as a reliable partner, and also confirms the enormous potential for further development of bilateral economic cooperation.
