Ashgabat Cultural Events Calendar for the Holidays

The capital will host a variety of cultural events, concerts, and exhibitions during the holidays and weekends marking the 35th anniversary of the independence of Turkmenistan. We offer readers a brief overview of some of the events.

On September 26 at 5:00 p.m., the “Watan” Cinema and Concert Center will host a concert by Meylis and Musa Halbayev, who will delight lovers of musical art.

On September 27 at 7:00 p.m., the “Watan” Cinema and Concert Center will host a festive concert featuring well-known Turkmen pop artists. Maksat Tuvakov, Parakhat Purjaev, and Begmyrat Charyyev will perform on stage. The evening’s program will feature popular songs and compositions celebrating independent and neutral Turkmenistan.

On September 28 at 7:00 p.m., the “Watan” Cinema and Concert Center will host the concert “Golden Collection of Film Music.” Performed by a philharmonic ensemble under the direction of Honored Artist of Turkmenistan and composer Rovshen Nepesov, the program will feature timeless melodies from beloved retro films. Soloists will also perform well-known movie hits, including Tachnabat Yomudova, a participant in Andrey Malakhov’s popular program “Hello, Andrey!”

In addition, the theatrical program invites audiences to attend festive performances and musical and humorous concerts.
