President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov held video conference working session with the participation of the head of administration of the capital and hyakims of the velayats.
The agenda included the issues of realization of the strategy of regional development, course of agricultural works as well as preparation to coming celebrations and remarkable events.
First, the Head of the State called Hyakim of Ashgabat Sh. Durdiliyev who reported on the fulfilment of the assignment on urban planning of the capital, creation of new green zones in the city, improvement of social sphere and implementation of new infrastructural projects.
The Hyakim also reported that the population of the main city of the country has exceeded 1 million people and made the proposal on territorial expansion of Ashgabat.
Summing up the report, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov requested to hold under permanent control the situation in the capital including the construction of new facilities planned to be opened on occasion of the Independence Day.
The Head of the State outlined priority objectives of the city administration, having requested to make all social and cultural, engineering and technical as well as ecological works comprehensively.
Having focused on the provision of uninterrupted activity of all municipal services and system in accordance with modern requirements, Turkmen leader pointed out the necessity of thought approach and implementation of high technologies in urban management.
Having noted the relations between the growth of the population of Ashgabat, creation of comfortable social conditions of the residents and expansion of administrative territory of the capital, the Head of the State supported the proposed initiative.

Speaking of the appropriateness of the establishment of new etrap, the President of the country gave certain instructions to the Hyakim on relevant works.

Information on the outcomes of realization of National rural programme for seven months of the year has also been given. In addition, it was reported on construction works in the velayat.
In the context of timely solution of the objectives of agricultural sphere, the President highlighted the importance of high organization of the cotton harvest campaign including the activity on improvement of the rates of cotton care, timely inter-row cultivation, fertilization, irrigation and pest control.
Turkmen leader has outlined the preparation of agricultural equipment, harvesters, tractors, trucks and tools, cotton processing and storage facilities among the utmost objectives.
Speaking of coming winter crop sowing, the Head of the State pointed out the necessity of timely completion of agrotechnical works on ploughing and levelling of the soil for the sowing as well as preparation of seed material.

Having listened to the report, the Head of the State addressed the Hyakim with the number of instructions on preparation to the cotton harvest campaign. Inter-row cultivation, nitrogen fertilization, vegetation irrigation, pest control and provision of necessary equipment have to under close attention.
Specific instructions were given with regard to organization of coming sowing of winter crops and measures for care of rice fields, which have to be carried out in strict compliance with agrotechnical standard and on time.
