A delegation from Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, will visit Turkmenistan to participate in the International Conference and Exhibition CIET 2026, which will take place in Ashgabat on 3–5 November.
The participation of Masdar City will bring international experience in sustainable urban development, master planning, project implementation and digital transformation to CIET 2026, strengthening the forum's focus on innovative approaches to the development of modern cities and infrastructure.
During the visit to Turkmenistan, representatives of Masdar City are also expected to engage with the country's professional and academic community, including through a lecture at the Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, as well as a visit to Arkadag city.
Experience from the City of Tomorrow
Masdar City is a pioneering sustainable urban community and international business and technology hub in Abu Dhabi. Its development model brings together sustainable architecture and master planning, renewable energy, energy and water efficiency, advanced technologies and innovation.
Sustainability is incorporated into the city's planning from the design stage. Buildings, streets, public spaces, landscaping and transportation are designed to improve thermal comfort, increase resource efficiency and reduce environmental impact. More than 11 MW of photovoltaic capacity has been installed across Masdar City.

The International Conference and Exhibition CIET 2026 will bring together government representatives, international companies, investors, architects, engineers, manufacturers and technology providers in Ashgabat.
More than 200 delegates have already registered for CIET 2026, demonstrating growing international interest in opportunities for cooperation with Turkmenistan in construction, industry, infrastructure, energy, investment and technology.
The official programme begins on 3 November with the opening of CIET 2026 and a VIP exhibition tour, followed by business networking and the Strategic Plenary Session “Innovation. Investment. Growth: A New Era for Construction, Industry and Infrastructure Development in Turkmenistan.”
The forum will provide a platform for dialogue on the technologies, investment and international partnerships that can contribute to the implementation of major development projects and the modernisation of the country's industrial and urban infrastructure.
