10 students majoring in «Agricultural mechanisation» from the Turkmen agricultural university named after S.A. Nyyazov, under the guidance of two university professors, completed industrial training at «John Deere International GmbH» facilities in Germany and the Netherlands.
The study tour took place from the 19th to 26th of September to familiarise the participants with the advanced technologies used in the production facilities of the world-renowned engineering company and to study the capabilities of its modern agricultural machinery.
As part of the trip, the Turkmen delegation visited a tractor plant in Mannheim (Germany), as well as the scientific, educational and production enterprise of livestock production «Lehr und Versuchsanstalt Neumuhle». Here, the internship participants learned the rules for using powerful machines and examined their operational properties.
At the «John Deere Forum», company specialists spoke in detail about history of the company, stages of development, achievements, and future plans. It was noted that the company has the capabilities to produce equipment taking into account the individual requirements of customers. Students had the opportunity to observe all stages of production of tractors of varying power from the manufacture of individual parts to the assembly of finished equipment.
As part of the internship, training sessions were held at the «John Deere» plant in Horst (Kingdom of the Netherlands), where trailed and self-propelled sprayers are manufactured. Turkmen delegates were introduced to innovative technologies and production cycles of modern sprayers of the M700i, M900i, R414i, R4150i models, as well as the new self-propelled sprayer 550R.
Company representatives discussed the features of the integrated «ExactApply» system, which allows for the precise application of fertilizers and plant protection products, as well as the «See and Spray» technology, which uses cameras to identify weeds and ensures that only the necessary areas are treated.
As part of the visit, representatives of the Turkmen university visited the historical and cultural landmarks of Frankfurt, Germany, and Amsterdam, the capital of the Netherlands.
By participating in industrial training, students from the Turkmen agricultural university gained invaluable practical experience, significantly enriched their knowledge, and improved their professional training.
Such international internships for young Turkmen specialists are regularly organised, helping to address key government objectives in training highly qualified personnel for the country, improving the quality of education, and actively developing international scientific and educational cooperation.
