The Head of State’s Book “Neutrality Of Turkmenistan - A Bright Way Of Peace and Trust” Published in Japanese

Today, a presentation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book “Neutrality Of Turkmenistan - A Bright Way Of Peace and Trust,” published in Japanese, was held at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan. The publication of this edition is clear evidence of the traditionally friendly cooperation between Turkmenistan and Japan, which continues to develop successfully across a wide range of areas.

As noted during the ceremony, the foreign policy pursued by the independent Motherland, aimed at ensuring peace through development and grounded in the principles of good-neighbourliness, friendship, and brotherhood, enjoys widespread support from the international community. This is demonstrated by our country’s high international standing, whose status of permanent neutrality has been recognised three times by the United Nations General Assembly.

The concept of Turkmenistan’s neutral foreign policy and its practical implementation under contemporary conditions are explained in detail in the Head of State’s book, “Neutrality Of Turkmenistan - A Bright Way Of Peace and Trust.” Its translation into Japanese will help further expand the readership of this remarkable work by Arkadagly Hero Serdar among international audiences.

As emphasised at the presentation, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book, distinguished by its rich content, examines the historical, political, socioeconomic, cultural, humanitarian, and spiritual dimensions of Turkmen neutrality, whose roots extend deep into the past. The work also provides a detailed account of the role and significance of the Fatherland’s international legal status in developing balanced solutions to pressing contemporary challenges.

The book offers a comprehensive analysis of independent Turkmenistan’s active role in foreign policy and foreign economic relations, as well as the country’s constructive initiatives arising from its neutral status and aimed at promoting peace, security, and trust on a global scale. The Head of State’s work also describes the achievements Turkmenistan has made in all spheres of life during the new historical era.

In his address, Hiroshi Sasaki, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Japan to Turkmenistan, emphasised that the presentation marked an important event reflecting the dynamic development of bilateral dialogue across all areas of cooperation.

The publication of “Neutrality Of Turkmenistan - A Bright Way Of Peace and Trust” in Japanese represents a significant contribution to strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and their peoples.

Participants in the presentation expressed their sincere gratitude to the President of Turkmenistan and Hero-Arkadag for their consistent efforts to develop fruitful international partnerships. As noted during the event, the successful implementation of agreements reached following high-level meetings and negotiations serves as a powerful impetus for further expanding multifaceted cooperation.

As particularly emphasised in the Head of State’s book, neutrality is, for the Turkmen people, a natural continuation of their history, culture, spirit, and national character. Turkmen neutrality represents an active and confident peace-oriented policy rooted in the country’s own history and values while remaining fully open to the international community and cooperation.

The new edition has been produced to a high standard of printing quality. Particular attention has been paid to the book’s artistic design, and it is illustrated with works of fine art.

Thus, the publication of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book “Neutrality Of Turkmenistan - A Bright Way Of Peace and Trust” in Japanese has become a tangible symbol of the steady development of constructive relations between Turkmenistan and Japan and the deepening of traditional bilateral cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres.
