On the 27th of October, an official meeting between the Minister of education of Turkmenistan, Jumamyrat Gurbangeldiyev, and the rector of the university, Feruza Madrahimova, was held at Urgench state university.
During the meeting, the parties discussed in detail the prospects for further development of cooperation in the field of higher education and science.
Rector Feruza Madrahimova expressed readiness of the university to attract international students, including young people from Turkmenistan, to study at the university, create favourable conditions for them, expand scientific and academic ties with higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, and implement joint initiatives and projects.
It was noted that students of Urgench state university annually take an active part in international subject Olympiads held in Turkmenistan.
The parties exchanged views on further expanding cooperation and enhancing the mutual participation of scientists and students from both countries in international scientific conferences, forums, and academic events.
