Today, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting of the State Security Council to sum up the work of military and law enforcement bodies for ten months of the current year. Its agenda included issues of security and tranquillity in our independent fatherland, the strengthening of the material and technical basis of security structures and further perfection of their activity.
Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence B.Gundogdyev who reported on the work carried out for the January-October period of the current year to strengthen defensibility of the country within the Program of development of the AF, was the first to take the floor. At the same time, he reported on the course of the next call-up campaign, adopted measures to increase professionalism of officers as well as results of the military parade, held in honour of the 35th anniversary of sacred independence of Turkmenistan.
The Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defence on behalf of all servicemen once again expressed gratitude to the head of the state for participation in the opening of a new complex of buildings and facilities of a military unit of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the necessity of adoption of practical steps to develop the Armed Forces of the country, to modernize their material and technical basis and improve conditions of service and life of military men.
Attorney General B.Muhamedov reported on the work carried out from the beginning of the year, results of public prosecutor's control over observance of laws and course of realisation of the Program of development of the subordinate structure.
Having heard the report, the head of Turkmenistan pointed out that control over fulfilment of legal acts, protection of interests of the state and society act as important requirements of the time. In that connection, he gave concrete instructions to the head of the Prosecutor General's Office.
Then, Minister of Interior Affairs M.Khydyrov reported on results of the work realized by the subordinate department for the specified period, including adopted measures to maintain public order, to prevent road and transport accidents and control over observance of fire prevention rules.
Having heard the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan focused attention on the significance of maintenance of public order in the country and further observance of traffic regulations, fire protection rules and requirements and instructed the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to carry out explanatory actions on these topics among the population.
Chairman of the Supreme Court B.Khojamgulyev reported on the work carried out for the January-October period, in particular, the work implemented with a view of fulfilment of goals, defined in the corresponding Program of development, and adopted measures to further improve the activity of the given structure, to introduce advanced experience and improve the professional skill of employees of judicial bodies.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasised the necessity of more effective realisation of the work aimed at protection of interests of the state and society. In the given context, he gave a number of concrete instructions to the head of the Supreme Court.
Then, Minister of National Security D.Meredov reported on realised practical steps for ten months of this year to maintain national interests and tranquillity in the country.
Having heard the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan underlined that one should continue work on protection of national interests of the state and gave the head of the ministry corresponding instructions.
Head of the State Border Service I.Ilamanov reported on results of the activity for the January-October period of the current year to ensure protection of the state border of our fatherland, technical modernisation of frontier units and solution of social issues of servicemen.
Having heard the report, the head of Turkmenistan marked that sacred boundaries of our country are the border of friendship and brotherhood and gave the head of the department to hold the further perfection of the activity of frontier troops, the strengthening of their material and technical basis and improvement of conditions of service and life of frontier guards under control.
Minister of Adalat M.Taganov reported on adopted measures for ten months of the current year to modernize the legislative framework of the country, to introduce advanced experience and increase of professionalism of employees.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov stressed the necessity of continuation of work to bring the national legal system in conformity with international standards and gave the Minister concrete instructions to that end.
Chairman of the State Customs Service M.Khudaykuliyev reported on results of the activity realized for the January-October period of this year within implementation of the Program of development of the department, in particular, practical steps to improve customs procedures at the expense of introduction of high technologies and the strengthening of material and technical basis of the given structure.
Having heard the report, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces underlined the importance of further organisation of the work of the customs service according to realities of the time, application of modern methods in the work of the department. In that regard, he gave a number of concrete instructions to the head of the Service.
Chairman of the State Migration Service A.Sazakov reported on the outcome of the activity for the considered period, including the realised measures with a view of increase of overall performance of the structure and introduction of advanced practice.
Having heard the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that constant perfection of migration activity, improvement of the quality of service act as basic requirements. In the given context, he gave relevant instructions to the head of the Service.
Addressing members of the State Security Council, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country underlined that according to the military doctrine of Turkmenistan, which bears strictly a defensive character, the practical steps aimed at maintenance of a high level of security and territorial integrity of our independent, permanently neutral fatherland, strengthening of its defensibility, improvement of social living conditions of defenders of our fatherland and members of their families are undertaken. As was marked, the work in the given area will be continued.
At the meeting, a number of other issues, on which corresponding decisions were made, were also considered.
At the end of the meeting, President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country general Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished its participants sound health, big successes in their responsible service for peace and happy life of our people.
