A series of cultural events is conducted by the Museum of History and Local History of the Dashoguz region continued the thematic exposition based on the book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The exhibition, which is opened in the foyer of the museum, consisted of works dedicated to the historical and cultural heritage, customs and traditions of the Turkmen people. Colorful, executed in different genres and stylistics of works of picturesque and arts and crafts allow the audience to make a cognitive-aesthetic excursion. The exhibition presents paintings by famous painters - members of the Union of Artists of Turkmenistan B.Annamedov and J.Khalbayev, honored art worker K.Torayev and others.

The famous artist Merdan Kakabaev presented twenty new works. The book "Turkmenistan is the heart of the Great Silk Road" inspired the creation of a series of paintings, according to the artist. Painted oil paintings tell of bright pages from the great past of Kunyaurgench, historical and cultural monuments included in the UNESCO World Heritage List, archaeological artifacts. Saturated with oriental colors, the works give an opportunity to make a visual journey along the caravan paths of the Silk Road. Harmonious landscapes and juicy still life’s glorify the beauty of Turkmen nature, generous gifts of gardens and fields.
