Large-scale industrialization of Turkmenistan is closely related to the environment protection, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said at the opening ceremony of Garabogazcarbamid Plant, during which the management of the facility received the certificates of international organizations on recognition of the quality of products, efficiency and ecological safety of innovative production.

In this regard, the Head of the State noted that Turkmenistan supports the efforts of international community on reduction of harmful gases emission. The country carries out systematic transit to environmentally friendly and resources saving technologies in the industry including in oil and gas, energy and chemical branches.

Turkmen leader also said that opening of the facility in Garabogaz would create the conditions for increment of production capacity of chemical industry, which in its turn would increase export capabilities of the country.

“We will have an opportunity to increase annual production of nitrogen fertilizers by 2 million tons. The third of thus production will be used in local market while the rest will go for export”, - the Head of the State said.
