Winners of women’s weight category 64 kg was defined in the fifth day of Ashgabat World Championship. Sportswoman from Romania Toma Loredana made a challenge for leading Asian athletes. However, she could not manage with record weight of 112 kg and champion’s title went to Deng Wei (China). Karina Goricheva from Kazakhstan took the bronze.

Chinese sportswoman had nobody equal in clean-and-jerk discipline. She lifted 135 kg in the first attempt and it allowed her to set the world record in total. She improved this result by three kg and won the discipline. The third attempt was also successful. Deng Wei won three gold medals and set three world records (140 kg in the clean-and-jerk and 252 in total).

Wamalun Rattanawan from Thailand was the second in the clean-and-jerk and the third in total. Rim Un Sim from the DPRK won the bronze in the clean-and-jerk and silver in total.

Turkmenistan National team has two silver and two bronze medals.

Successful performance of Chinese sportsmen put them on the top of total team count taking over the team from Thailand.

Winners in women 71 kg and men 89 kg will be defined on November 6.
