Masters of aeromodelling sports completed the next competitive season. Ashgabat flying club held two championships.Young model airplanes - students of schools in Ashgabat and Ahal region appeared at first. Then was held the final of the Cup of Turkmenistan on radio-controlled models of gliders (electric).

Pupils of schools engaged in the Ashgabat flying club and members of the aircraft model circle of the Geoktepe etrap competed in launching their own glider models on the first day of the tournament. With the help of the rail, the model rose to a height of 50 meters, after which it went into free flight, the time of which was fixed by the judges. In the glider category A-1 (for international qualifications), a student of the Ashgabat school number 52, Kerim Nazarov, won. In the category of gliders A-2, the best is a student of B.Nanniyazov, school number 27 of the capital. Student of school number 55 Murad Annakuliev - excelled in competitions in piloting techniques of radio-controlled models.

Among the young aircraft designers, the student of the Geoktepe school № 6 Begench Geldymuradov became the best. Prize-winners of young model airplanes were awarded diplomas of the Ashgabat flying club and prizes.

The second day of competition was spectacular when the final of the Cup of Turkmenistan on radio-controlled gliders was held. Each model aircraft had 30 attempts to launch. The winner was determined by the accuracy of the landing model next to the marker. In terms of the three stages, the current winner of the Cup, Ashgabat Sahat Kuliev, became the best. In second place is candidate master of sports Haji Tuchkus, and third place is Sergey Obraztsov, a veteran of domestic model aircraft sport.
