Dashoguz province hosted public events dedicated to the book by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, “Worshippping Mother – Worshipping a Sacred Person”. The events were co-organized by the Central Council of the Women’s Union, the National Center of Professional Unions and the Dashoguz Regional Administration.

They included a thematic meeting attended by representatives of public organizations, prominent workers of the provinces and the capital, elders, young people and mass media.

The attendees stressed that protecting mothers and families and younger generations remains the focus of special attention of the head of state. The Turkmen leader emphasizes in his book that mothers are respected universally as sacred, and our duty is to graciously continue this tradition by carefully transmitting them from generation to generation. The focus of the meeting was reflected in the highlights of the exhibition, where the works by the President of Turkmenistan occupied the central place.

As part of the events, the attendees visited the museum of regional history, the N.Andalip Musical-Drama Theater where a performance inspired by the book “Worshippping Mother – Worshipping a Sacred Person” was staged. In the town of Kunya-Urgench, they got to see architectural monuments and watch the final round of the contest for women on knowledge of traditions, customs and the national cuisine.
