In the Turkmen Music and Drama Theater named after Makhtumkuli successfully passed the concert of Israeli pianist Dorel Golan, who performed with the State Symphony Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev. The Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the Embassy of the State of Israel in our country organized the evening.

The concert opened with the soulful music of Nury Halmamedov. The Rasul Klychev Symphony Orchestra performed fragments from the opera “The Decisive Step”. Melodic pictures, full of tender lyricism and drama, immersed the audience in the atmosphere of love of the main characters of the novel Berdy Kerbabaev.

Then an Israeli pianist stepped onto the stage, whom the audience greeted with stormy applause. Dorel Golan for the second time gives a concert in Ashgabat. “I met wonderful musicians here and a sensitive, responsive audience, which is a great pleasure to play for,” said Dorel.

Dorel performed the Piano Concerto No 3 in D minor by Sergey Rakhmaninov, one of the best and most sophisticated compositions of the composer. The soft, charming Rakhmaninov sounds in the imagination that surrounded the house of the composer once surrounded the waves in the hall. Thunder struck, and spring rain fell on the trees, the roof and the shutters of the windows, spreading out on the ground in streams...

The downpour subsided and the sun shyly peeped out, reflected in the puddles on the path leading to the house. Raindrops roll off the foliage, and the humid air is filled with the smell of herbs and the first spring flowers.

These pictures were painted in the imagination of a work, soulfully performed by Dorel Golan, accompanied by a symphony orchestra. There are final chords - solemn and optimistic. The audience enthusiastic applause thanked the pianist for her high performing skills.

Dorel encore played a delightful Mozart’s “Turkish March” and improvisation on the subject. Then Dorel performed "Caprice" by Niccolò Paganini, causing a storm of applause and enthusiastic emotions.

The Israeli pianist appealed to the public: “And in parting, I will perform my favorite work, Gluck's Melody, into which I put my heart and soul in.” The evening ended with a sincere confession of a pianist: “I love Ashgabat!”
