The concert program included widely popular and much-loved melodies and songs. The performers extended their best wishes and New Year greetings to the audience from the stage.
Fast-paced and uplifting New Year songs gave place to lyrical songs, folk songs in contemporary arrangements followed pop songs. People’s Artist of Turkmenistan Sahydursun Hojakova with her opening song “Geldi Täze Ýyl” marked an impressive start of the festive concert. The singer also captivated the audience with the Indian song “Söýgüniñ Güýji” sung in a duet with Nuryagdy Rejebov.
The State Dance Ensemble and Näzli Dance Group delighted the viewers with dances that were a perfect blend of ethnographic elements and modern rhythmic movements.
The song “Jan Watanym Türkmenistan!” performed by Annaguly Myratdurdyev to an enthusiastic ovation culminated the festive celebration. This heartwarming musical event will be remembered as a New Year fairy tale for a long time.
New Year concerts at the Palace are also scheduled for December 28 and December 29.
