Turkmenistan Cinema and Concert Hall hosted a concert dedicated to this year’s slogan, Turkmenistan: the Land of Prosperity. To speak of love for the Motherland and compatriots in the language of music was the key message of the themed event organized by the Ministry of Culture. Renowned instrumentalists and vocalists performed with the State Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev.

The famous violinist, people’s artist of Turkmenistan, Gasan Mamedov, opened the concert with the instrumental version of Artyk’s Song, a piece by the outstanding Turkmen composer, Nury Halmammedov.

The merited artist of Turkmenistan, Atajan Berdiyev, set the positive mood for the audience with Merry Day, a song written by Danatar Hydyrov to the poem by Gurbannazar Ezizov. A talented vocalist, Leyli Okdirova, presented Chary Nurymov’s What Words Shall I Choose for You? written to the poem by Ata Atajanov; and Selbi Annadurdyyeva sang a lyrical love song, Unreachable, written by Rejep Rejepov to the poem of Alty Akmammedov.

The concert culminated with soulful music by Nury Halmammedov. The symphonic orchestra conducted by Rasul Klychev performed the composer’s famous works including pieces from The Decisive Step ballet that became a powerful final accord. Saxophone solo by Umyt Aynazarov.
