Today, International conference of the Commonwealth of Independent States “Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan” was held in the central building of oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan. Heads of the oil and gas ministries, departments and large companies from CIS countries arrived for participation in the forum organized by the Ministry of oil and gas industry and mineral resources jointly with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
Officials of fuel-energy complex of Turkmenistan and Ministry of Nature Protection familiarized the participants with available industrial and raw potential of fuel-energy complex of the Turkmen state, energy strategy aimed at expansion of international cooperation in the sphere of prospecting, production and processing of hydrocarbon resources as well as provision of reliable and safe deliveries of energy bearers to the largest markets of the Eurasian continent.
The issues of observance of ecological requirements and norms while development and exploitation of hydrocarbon resources became special topic of reports. It was also given a brief review of the tendencies on the world oil and gas market and their influence on inflow of investments and growth of hydrocarbon production in CIS countries. It was considered the issues of safeguarding of energy security while diversification of energy resources, innovative technologies in oil and gas, refining sectors of CIS countries, aspects of impact of geopolitics on formation of the export projects and others.
