Turkmenistan Airline opens flights to South-eastern Asia and Arabian Peninsula

Turkmenistan Airline will increase the number of Ashgabat – Kazan (Russian Federation) flights and will open new flights to South-eastern Asia and Arabian Peninsula.

Additional Boeing 737-800 flight to the capital of Tatarstan will be held from July 3 to September 11. It will depart from Ashgabat on Wednesdays at 06:25.

This year, civil aviators of the country plans to expand the geography of regular international flights. Specialists of Türkmenhowaýollary Agency negotiates on opening of direct flights with the states of Asian Pacific region. The first Ashgabat – Tokyo – Ashgabat flight has been opened. State Tourists Company Ashgabatsyyahat together with Türkmenhowaýollary Agency developed an exclusive tour for the tourists from Japan, which is planned on June 26 – 30.

Further development of air connection with the countries of Asian Pacific, South-eastern Asia and Arabian Peninsula is related to the use of latest aircraft – long distance super modern Boeing 777-200LR. This comfortable aircraft will make flights to Ho Chi Minh (Vietnam) and to Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia.

Aviators plan to sue favourable geographic location of the capital of Turkmenistan for organization of transit of tourists who go to religious sanctuaries of South-eastern Asia and back. Turkmen airlines will take the passengers from Ashgabat to Jeddah, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which seaport takes the main flow of the pilgrims who go for haj to Makkah and Medina.

At present time, the flights, which allow the tourists from Europe, Turkey, CIS countries, Thailand and Vietnam making flights to Arabian Peninsula via Ashgabat International Airport, are under development. These flights can be connected with the flights to Turkmen capital from Germany, France, England, Russia and Turkey, which will make comfortable transit for air travellers. New flights will be open this November.
