Pupils in Magtymguly Fragi secondary school in Funtovo Village, Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation, which was built on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, study the Turkmen language.

At the invitation of the Russian side, in early September, Resul Shadjiev, a Turkmen language teacher, arrived in Funtovo village, where ethnic Turkmen live. This was a significant event for the people in the village, therefore, not only schoolchildren, but also their parents attended the first lesson.

The Turkmen language teaching is aimed at presenting the cultural traditions and rich literary heritage of the historical Motherland to the young generation in Funtovo Village and intensifying humanitarian ties between Turkmenistan and the Astrakhan region of the Russian Federation.
