Chairman of the PRC Xi Jinping took part in the opening ceremony of major exposition. More than 3,890 companies from more than 64 countries are represented at the Shanghai EXPO. It was the first participation for 24 countries to participate in current exhibition.
Turkmen delegation includes personnel of ministries and departments of trade, industrial and communication spheres, textile and chemical industry, agricultural sector as well as representatives of business community and the State Commodity and Raw Material Exchange.
National exhibition hall, which presented sample of production of industrial facilities and private sphere, services and samples of decorative and applied art, introduces trade, economic and investment potential of Turkmenistan as well as historical and cultural traditions of our people.
Special attention of visitors is attracted by production of textile industry of Turkmenistan – eco-friendly fabrics, clothes and accessories, knitted articles, samples of national embroidery and many other.
Agricultural and food production section presents high-quality, eco-friendly production of agricultural complex and processing segment related to it.
Service sphere of Turkmenistan is represented by displays of trade facilities as well as by private sector on National economy.
Meetings with potential Chinese partners have been organized for producers from Turkmenistan at the fields of large-scale fair of import commodities. Presentations and exchange of views took place, which allowed the participants getting expanded image of potential of the sides and outlining the spheres of common interests.
Members of Turkmen delegations and personnel of diplomatic mission of our country to China took also part in “Belt and Road – Round Table Forum on Orient Direct Sourcing” international forum, under which round table session and conference on global trade and international logistics have been organized.
This event, which is a platform for multidimensional cooperation, is a joint initiative of the Government of the PRC and administration of Shanghai, Chinese International Textile and Clothes Import and Export chamber, Chinese Communication and Transport Chamber as well as Orient International Holding Shanghai Foreign Trade Co Ltd, which is one of the leaders in production of textile and its import from other countries in the PRC’s market and which is also specialized in supply of qualitative goods to the PRC and logistic services.
