First, the Head of the State held working session with hyakims of Ashgabat and Ahal Velayat who reported on the situation in the capital and region, course of reforms and relative programmes, solution of objectives outlined in investment programme for 2020.
Head of the capital’s administration Sh. Durdiliyev informed about works in the capital, in particular about further modernization of its infrastructure. The report on fulfilment of objectives of the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025, number of built social and other facilities as well as those, which have been erected, in Ashgabat and expanded large-scale construction.
Hyakim of Ahal Velayat S. Berdimuhamedov informed about the General Plan of development of the region and objectives outlined in this plan. It was also reported abut construction of new, modern administrative centre of the velayat. It was also informed about construction of schools, kindergartens, shopping centres, clinics and other social and cultural facilities in the region.
Having listened to the reports, Turkmen leader focused on the importance of successful solution of objectives outlined in the Programme of social and economic development of Turkmenistan in 2019 – 2025 as well as the Programme of industrialization of the country until 2030.
In this regard, special attention is paid to the subjects of turning of the country into the state with developed industry, active implementation of the most effective technologies based on innovations and integrated digitization from economic, social and ecological points of view.
All of these, together with opening of working places, is an important factor of strengthening of economic potential of the capital and velayats, further improvement of social and living conditions of the people, the President continued.
It is also worth to mention that members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs take an active part in realization of large-scale reform programmes in the country. having highlighted that it is very important in the context of implementation of important projects, timely and qualitative construction of big social facilities, the Head of the State ordered to continue providing proper control of works in this direction.
Working session was continued with participation of Hyakim of Balkan Velayat Ya. Gylyjov and Hyakim of Lebap Velayat T. Atahalliyev. Heads of regional administrations reported on the measures for successful fulfilment of National rural programme, development of investment programme for 2020 as well as for realization of the main directions of the Programme of Turkmenistan for social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025.
At present time, construction of comfortable living and other social and cultural facilities is carried out at high rates. It was informed that private profile companies take an active part in their construction.
Summing up the reports, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that large-scale work aimed at improvement of life level of the population is carried out in the country, having pointed out the necessity of its effective continuation.
It was highlighted that hyakims of the velayats together with profile ministries and profile departments, especially with the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, have to provide steadfast dynamics of work.
In this context, issues of social and economic development of industrialization of the regions are on priority place. At the same time, it is necessary to implement scientific achievements, best world practice and digital technologies to all spheres of production more actively, the Head of the State noted.
Having pointed out the importance of enforcement of control of works at facilities under construction in Balkan and Lebap Velayats, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov gave relative assignments to the hyakims.
It was highlighted that it is necessary to pay attention to ecological component in development of the region. In this regard, it is necessary to pay special attention to assertion of the principles of healthy life style in the society, to solve subjects of tree plantation and creation of forest stripes on comprehensive and scientific base. Having noted that it would provide long-term and productive character of integrated works, the Head of the State requested to hold them under permanent control.
After, Hyakim of Dashoguz Velayat N. Nazarmyradov and Hyakim of Mary Velayat D. Annaberdiyev took part in the session with the President of Turkmenistan and reported on the situation in their regions and measures taken for improvement of social and living conditions of the population.
It was reported that big work for industrialization, activation of investment activity and implementation of innovations is carried out in the velayats. Special attention in the reports has been paid to development of investment programmes for 2020.
Having listened to the information, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov focused on the necessity of digitization of the economy, which would give an opportunity to develop profile economy and ownership on comprehensive base. The Head of the State said with delight that Turkmen entrepreneurs actively participate in solution of objectives of social and economic development of the country.
The Head of the State highlighted that specialists of private construction companies demonstrate their experience and organization skills not only in our country but also abroad. It indicates multidimensional experience acquired by Turkmen entrepreneurs and high quality of works.
Having highlighted that this is very important for successful fulfilment of the state programmes and plans for industrialization of the country, the President ordered to continue work in this direction.

It was mentioned that special attention is paid to development of transport and communication infrastructure, construction of roads and bridges in the country. in this regard, modern transport system is established in the velayats.
Detailed information that relative work for development of projects and construction of modern bus stations is carried out in the velayats under the Programme of social and economic development of the country in 2019 – 2025 has been presented in the reports of the hyakims.
It will support to improvement of transport communication and development of interregional cooperation. Bus stations planned to be built will be provided with the latest communication systems, digital technologies. It will provide high quality of service of the passengers. At present time, drawings of future bus stations have been made; local profile companies, which would built the facilities, have been selected.
Having noted that large-scale work expanded in the country for modernization and development of industrial and communication complexes including transport sphere is expanded, the President highlighted that measures in this direction open wide opportunities for international cooperation.
Having focused on the necessity of responsible approach to construction of modern bus stations in Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary Velayats, the President noted that elements of national architecture and decoration in have to be used in the construction in combination with modern trends.
Operation of new bus stations has to be made based on advanced technologies. The most important things is that the bus stations have to be comfortable for people. Having signed the Resolution on construction of new bus stations in the velayats, the President gave number of relative assignments to the hyakims.
The Head of the State has also noted the importance of opening of Ashgabat – Turkmenabat highway, which is built by Turkmen entrepreneurs, both for formation of transit corridors and also for coordinated connection between passenger bus stations of velayats and capital.
Continuing the subject, the President stopped at the subject of provision of passenger bus stations, which are planned to be built in the velayats, having highlighted that these facilities have to meet modern requirements and world standards.
This is the main condition for provision of coordinated passenger communication between the regions and making of important part of international transport and transit corridor, the President of Turkmenistan said, having addressed the hyakims with specific assignments.
The Head of the State has also noted that it is necessary to hold adherence to the deadline of completion of construction and provision of high quality of facilities under control. Finishing the session, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished big success in work to all participants.
