On February 5, Ankara hosted a briefing on the programme of celebration of the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan's neutrality. The briefing, organized by the Embassy of our country in the Republic of Turkey, was attended by Senior Advisor to President of Turkey, Yalçın Topçu, the representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey, the diplomatic missions accredited in the country, as well as parliamentarians, heads of international department of the Turkish State TV and Radio Company (TRT), representatives of mass media.

The briefing participants were familiarized with the programme of events of the year held in our country under the motto "Turkmenistan is the Motherland of Neutrality". The attention of those present was focused on the constructive initiatives put forward by the Turkmen leader on the important aspects of the regional and global development. The priority vectors of Turkmenistan's foreign policy strategy, based on the status of permanent neutrality, recognized by the UN General Assembly Resolutions, and principles of multi-format international cooperation were highlighted.

The information about the modern achievements of the country, large-scale projects in various spheres, the economic, transport and logistics, investment and tourism potential, implementation of state programmes of import substitution and export orientation was presented during the briefing.

The exhibition of works by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and works of decorative and applied art, organized in the framework of the event, introduced the landmark pages of the history, as well as the culture, traditions and customs of the Turkmen people.
