Competing in the weight category of 87 kg, coach of the 5th sport weightlifting school of the General Department of Sports and Youth Affairs of Mary Velayat Aysoltan Toychiyeva has wo silver medal, having lifted 203 kg in two disciplines. At the same time, athlete from Turkmenistan was the second in the snatch and clean and jerk.
3rd grade student of Turkmen State institute of Physical Training and Sport Rustem Annadurdiyev and 4th grade student of the same institute Pirguly Pirguliyev have brought two bronze medals to collection of Turkmenistan National team.
Competing in the weight category of 81 kg, Rustem won the bronze, having lifted 224 kg in two disciplines while Pirguly (89 kg) has become bronze prize winner of International Solidarity Weightlifting Championship in the capital of Uzbekistan, having lifted 166 kg in total.
Therefore, Turkmenistan national weightlifting team has six medals one day before the end of representative international tournament.
On the day before, Yulduz Jumabayeva (weight category 49 kg), Seyitjan Mirzayev (61 kg) and Cristina Shermetova (55 kg) have won one silver and two bronze medals to the team.
The championship is finished on February 12. By the results of the competitions, the sportsmen will receive important rating scores and the right to take part in the main sport competitions – 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Japan.
