The festive event brought together the Chairperson of the Mejlis, representatives of state structures, public organizations, as well as the elders, members of the business community, students, and the media.

The meeting participants emphasized that today the representatives of the beautiful half of Turkmen society held senior positions in government, government agencies and public organizations, worked fruitfully in all sectors of the economy, significantly contributing to large-scale transformations.

Women of Turkmenistan, who feel continuing concern of the government, are grateful for all possible support, created opportunities for realizing personal potential, as well as family well-being, for obtaining modern education and professional growth.

The Turkmen leader prioritizes the concern for the motherhood and childhood, preservation of family values. That is vividly proved by the measures taken to improve the national legislation in this area, implement the programmes aimed at protecting motherhood and childhood, securing social support for large families, etc.

The participants of the festive event noted that protection of the legitimate rights and interests of women, provision of state benefits, creation of the conditions for a decent life and work for our female compatriots, increase their role in public and political life ranked the most important factors in the sustainable development of the Turkmen society.

A special concern of the state is the improvement of the living conditions of families. On the occasion of the International Women's Day, the keys to new spacious apartments in the apartment houses with improved conditions at Mir 7 housing estate were presented to families with many children.

On occasion of the International Women's Day, festive events were launched throughout the country. The ceremonies of awarding monetary gifts to women on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan took place at the ministries, departments, institutions and organizations.
